This 2.2-2.4 lb (1000-1100g) pack is made for leatherworkers who want usable production offcuts rather than tiny filler pieces. It contains vegetable-tanned top grain cowhide in one base color. The 2.5-3.5mm thickness (approximately 6-9 oz) provides a firm feel for tooling, carving, stamping, punching and cutting. Because these are real production offcuts, every pack is different. Shapes, edges, grain and shades vary, and the pieces are not uniform pre-cut sheets or rectangles. Natural oxidation may make some pieces appear slightly darker; this is a normal characteristic of vegetable-tanned leather, not a stain or defect. Use the received pieces for keychains, tags, patches, coasters, bookmarks, card holders, small wallets, knife sheaths, journal covers and leatherworking practice. Select pieces that fit your project before cutting. Vegetable-tanned cowhide can deepen in color and develop patina as it is handled and used.
