The PFERD TOOLS CC-GRIND®-ROBUST SGP STEELOX Grinding Disc offers a modern, high-performance alternative to conventional grinding wheels, flap discs, and fiber discs. Engineered with precision-molded VICTOGRAIN® ceramic abrasive, this disc delivers ultimate aggressive performance and exceptional service life when working on steel and stainless steel (INOX). VICTOGRAIN® features triangular, precision-formed abrasive grains that are identical in size and shape. Each grain is positioned at the optimal cutting angle and firmly anchored to the backing pad, requiring less energy to penetrate the workpiece. The result is extremely high stock removal, reduced heat build-up, uniform surface roughness, and significantly longer tool life compared to traditional abrasives. The slim disc design creates an exceptionally large chip space for efficient material removal. Its fine crystalline structure ensures that sharp cutting edges are continuously exposed while minimizing grain breakage. Even with a single layer of abrasive grit, CC-GRIND®-ROBUST outperforms many conventional grinding wheels and flap discs. Built with a fiberglass-reinforced plastic backing pad, the disc provides reliable, heavy-duty performance without deformation—even in extreme environmental conditions. It is also considerably more ergonomic, reducing noise, vibration, and dust while delivering superior surface quality. Unlike conventional systems, no special clamping flange set is required. The disc can also be easily trimmed for extended usability. Recommended Use: For best results, use at a flat contact angle and apply only with the face of the disc (not suitable for edge/peripheral grinding). Trimming should be performed at a 45° contact angle on sharp metal edges or suitable trimming surfaces. Compatible with 4-1/2" angle grinders, cordless angle grinders, and drive spindles with a 7/8" arbor.
