Peja Stojaković, born on June 9, 1977 in Slavonska Požega, Croatia, is a retired Serbian professional basketball player renowned for his outstanding shooting skills. He began his career with Red Star Belgrade before moving to Greece to play in PAOK Thessaloniki, where he earned the title of MVP. Chosen 14th overall by the Sacramento team in the United States, Stojaković joined the team in 1998. Three-time All-Star (2002-2004) and two-time winner of the Three-Point Contest (2002, 2003), was pivotal in Sacramento's success in the early 2000s. Stojaković then played for teams from Indiana, New Orleans, Toronto and Dallas, winning a championship with Dallas in 2011. Internationally, he earned gold medals with Yugoslavia/Serbia at the 2002 World Championships and the 2001 European Championships. After retiring in 2011, Stojaković held various roles, including that of director of staff for the Sacramento team. His legacy as one of the greatest basketball shooters and a pioneer for European players is imprinted in the history of the sport.
