BedCare Classic starts with a 100% stretch polyester circular knit with a satin hand, then bonds an ultra-thin ComforTech polyurethane membrane to the back of it. It works in two parts: an auto-locking zipper whose slide will not backtrack once you have closed it, plus a fabric barrier that seals the last inch of the zipper track from below. That last inch is where a zipper alone leaves an opening. The result is total protection on all sides, with no gaps. There is no latex in it, which matters if you react to latex. It resists rips, tears and stains. And it is washable the way it actually needs to be washed: machine wash hot, tumble dry low, no shrinkage. Do not bleach it and do not dry it hot, because that separates the membrane from the outer fabric and the waterproofing goes with it.
