This Lindy media converter extends the connection between two network devices at distances up to 550m with multimode fiber cables. Installation is plug and play and the user only needs to connect the RJ45 port with a Category 5e or higher Ethernet cable and the fiber port with a SC Multimode 50/125 or 62.5/125 duplex fiber cable. No configuration is required, it integrates easily into any existing Ethernet network and supports full/half duplex mode and auto-negotiation on both ports. The media converter can operate at a network speed of 100 or 1000 Mbps and has status LEDs that indicate data connection, speed, full/half duplex and connection errors. It supports IEEE 802.3 standard and jumbo frames up to 9K.
