The quilt has cotton wadding which is then lined with soft cotton muslin gauze fabric at the back. Quilting is in framed pattern in tonal colour threads. This traditional beautiful handmade bedspread is durable and comfortable. Each bedspread is washed and ironed before putting up for selling. Care instructions: Machine wash cold, tumble dry low (will give a creased look). Material - 100% cotton 4 layer muslin gauze front and back - between the front and back fabric is a layer of 280 gsm cotton. Technique - hand quilted - Kantha Colour - front is colored AND back is white KANTHA is a traditional embroidery style originating from Bengal, involving simple, running stitches. The word 'Kantha', in fact, means 'embroidered quilt'.This quilt would be used either to sleep on or as a blanket to cover oneself.
