ICM 48274 - Do 217M-1, WWII German Bomber - 1:48 Scale Aircraft Model Kit

ICM 48274 is a 1:48 scale plastic model kit of the Do 217M-1 aircraft, one of the most advanced bombers produced by Dornier for the German Air Force during World War II. The Do 217M-1 bomber was developed due to a shortage of BMW 801D engines, which were to be installed on the Do 217K-1 modification. As an alternative solution, Dornier engineers adapted the Do 217K-1 design for another engine, the DB 603, thus creating a new modification, the Do 217M-1. The new, more powerful engines had a capacity of 1,750 hp. The Do 217M-1 aircraft were produced in parallel with the Do 217K-1 modification and remained in service with the Luftwaffe's bomber and reconnaissance squadrons until the end of the war.
