No question about it... satin brass is the epitome of class and elegance. The heavier steel that goes into our closet poles is the perfect foundation for a fantastic finish. Some manufacturers plate their goods as soon as they leave the steel mill. Not us! We make our rods and brackets "smooth as a baby's bottom" first, and THEN apply a generous brass plating! Then, each rod is carefully buffed with an abrasive wheel for a satiny smooth final finish. This last operation is done entirely by hand BTW. End Brackets NOT IncludedRemember, you are JUST ordering the rod ONLY. Desunia offers matching hanging hardware but it is sold separately. Cutting Pro TipWrap the cut area with a few layers of painters' tape. Mark the length with a pencil, then use a square to draw a perpendicular cut line. If using an electric jigsaw, the tape will protect the rod from damage. If using a hand hacksaw, the blade will "dig into" the tape as you start the cut, preventing it from wandering.
