3” to 2.5” Exhaust Collector Reducers 3-Bolt Stainless Steel Pair

Running 3” header collectors doesn’t mean the rest of the exhaust has to be 3”. If you’re building a 2.5” system behind headers with a standard 3” 3-bolt collector, this pair of CAE reducers gives you a clean, compact way to make the transition. Each reducer bolts to the header with a standard 3-bolt connection and steps down from a 3” inlet to a 2.5” outlet. They’re only about 3.5” long, which matters more than it sounds like it would. Space disappears quickly once you’re underneath a project car trying to get exhaust past a crossmember, transmission, floor, driveshaft and everything else the factory put in your way. Keeping the reducer short gives you more room to work with when you start routing the pipes. The reducers are made from 18-gauge 304 stainless steel tubing with approximately .05” wall thickness. The 2.5” outlets can be worked into a welded or clamped exhaust system depending on how you’re putting the car together. We also include solid copper collector gaskets for both sides. They’re well suited to the heat at the header collector and give you a solid sealing surface between the header and reducer. Mounting hardware is included, so you’re not digging through the bolt bin before you can keep working. These aren’t tied to one particular vehicle or engine. If your headers use a compatible 3” 3-bolt collector and you’re running 2.5” exhaust, that’s the combination they’re made for. They make sense on hot rods, muscle cars, classic trucks, engine swaps, street machines and plenty of other project-car exhaust systems. • 3” HEADER TO 2.5” EXHAUST – Running headers with a 3” 3-bolt collector but building the rest of the exhaust in 2.5”? These reducers make the transition and give you a 2.5” outlet to continue the exhaust.
• COMPACT 3.5” LENGTH – At approximately 3.5” long, these keep the transition close to the header. That leaves more room when you’re trying to route exhaust around a crossmember, transmission, floor or whatever else is in the way.
• 18-GAUGE 304 STAINLESS – Approximately .05” wall 304 stainless steel tubing is a good choice for a part that’s going to spend its life hot and underneath the car. The 2.5” outlet is ready to work into your exhaust system.
• COPPER COLLECTOR GASKETS – Two solid copper 3-bolt gaskets are included for the header connection. Copper handles collector heat well and gives you a solid sealing surface between the header and reducer.
• EVERYTHING FOR BOTH SIDES – You get a pair of stainless collector reducers, two copper collector gaskets and the mounting hardware. Bolt them to your 3” collectors and you’re ready to continue the system in 2.5” exhaust.
